Sarah Louise Craft Sutherland, age 53, of Ocean Springs passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2012. She was born in Tylertown, MS on January 12, 1959 to Sarah K. Craft and the late Edwin Vennon Craft. She graduated from Tylertown High School and the University of Southern MS with a double major in English and journalism. Sarah was vice president of Human Resources at Casino Magic, original owner of the Manhattan Grill in Ocean Springs, president of Venus Imports, CEO and co-owner of The Sutherland Group, and in 2010, she became the proud proprietor of “LuLu’s Corner Café” in Ocean Springs, where she enjoyed good friends and always welcomed them with her beautiful smile. Sarah was a strong, independent, and hardworking lady with a fun loving and engaging sense of humor. She was quick witted, very practical and remained strong through many struggles. She was a very vivacious lady who could walk in a room and light it up! Sarah was a member of St. John Episcopal Church in Ocean Springs. She is survived by her loving and caring husband and children, Les Sutherland of Biloxi, MS, one son, David Joseph Venus V “Quint” and a daughter Anna Olivia Venus of Ocean Springs, three step children Walker Rediehs (Jamie) of Chicago, ILL, Emily Sutherland of Nashville, TN, and Ian Sutherland of Ocean Springs, MS, mother, Sarah Craft of Tylertown, two brothers, Ven and Ken Craft of Tylertown, MS and three sisters Amy Davis (Kent) of Meridian, MS, Lynn Pigott (Mike) of Tylertown, MS and Leigh James (Warren) of Fort Collins, CO. Visitation will be at the St. John Episcopal Church in Ocean Springs Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at 4:00p.m. at Tylertown Cemetery in Tylertown, MS. Memorials may be made to The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation.
