Memorial services will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, April 16, 2012 from the chapel of Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home. The Reverend Justin Knight will officiate with burial to follow at the Tylertown Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 A.M.

John William Turner, Jr., 39, of Taiwan, went to be with the Lord on March 23, 2012. He was born October 7, 1972 in North Little Rock, Arkansas to Mary Teresa Robertson Turner and the late John William Turner. In addition to his dad, he is also preceded in death by his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. L.E. Turner, Mr. James R. Alexander, and aunt Lyn Hill.

He graduated from high school in Byram, Mississippi and with a Master’s Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. He taught English in Taiwan; and honorably served in the United States Air Force for eight years as a fireman.

Mr. Turner is survived by his mom Teresa (Joe) Boyd of Pearl; sister Judy Lyn Turner of Cabot, Arkansas; grandmother Helen Alexander of Pearl; half-brother Jason Oulette of Maumelle, Arkansas; step-brothers John Oulette of Springdale, Arkansas and Jeremy Oulette of San Antonio, Texas; step-sisters Kim Mitchell of Diana, Texas and Dena Love of Pearl; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A very special “Thank You” to Dr. Scott Johnson; Congressman Greg Harper; and Ty Mabry in his Washington, D.C. office for their assistance in getting my son back to the United States of America.
