Funeral services for Alvis Estic Fortenberry , 97, of Tylertown, MS will be held at on Friday, January 1, 2021, at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home in the chapel with Rev. Justin Knight  officiating. Interment will follow at New Zion Cemetery.

Mr. Fortenberry passed away in Tylertown, Mississippi on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. He was born August 11, 1923 in Pike County, Mississippi to the late Mattie and Buey Fortenberry. He is also preceded in death by his wife Hilda Fortenberry, brother John Spivey and niece Sharon Burke.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed his community and was always willing to help them out if they needed him for anything.

Survivors include his daughters Emmie Pulliam, Vickie Brown; sons Anthony (Gina) Fortenberry, Richard Fortenberry; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-granndchildren; 4 great-great- grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers are Alex Fortenberry, Matt Brown, Cody Brown, Maurice Beard, Justin Terrell, and Mason Stinson .

Honorary pallbearers are Caleb Fortenberry, Dale McDaniel, Lane Clevenger, and Tyler Brown .

Visitation will be at Hartman-Hughes Chapel on Friday, January  1, 2021from 10:00 AM until service time at 2:00 PM.
