Ann Morrow Ginn died Sunday September 9, 2018 at Walthall General Hospital in Tylertown Mississippi at the age of 91. She was a long-time resident of the Salem community, a member of Salem Baptist Church, and schoolteacher. She was a graduate of Southwest Mississippi Community College, the University of Southern Mississippi (BS Ed), and Southeastern Louisiana University (MS Sp. Ed). While at SWCC, she was starter for the basketball team.
Ann Ginn was a teacher and mentor to students for over 40 years in Mississippi, Texas, and Louisiana. She began her teaching career at the young age of 19. She taught 5 th grade at Salem Attendance Center, then after completing her Masters, she taught special education for many years. She finished a long teaching career home schooling disabled students.
She is survived by her son, Robert Ginn, and wife, Caroline Seaton Ginn; grandchildren, Emily Ginn Burgstead and husband, Ross Burgstead, Steven Atley Ginn and Lauren Elizabeth Ginn; sister-in-law, Mary Nell Brumfield, nieces and nephew, Dewanna Ginn Lee, Terri Ginn Lemon, Teresa Ginn Guy and Paul Ginn; and the newest member of the family, great granddaughter, Nora Mae Ginn.
Funeral services will be held at Hartman Hughes Funeral Home Chapel at 12:30 P.M. on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. Reverend Billy Brumfield officiating. Visitation will be at Hartman Hughes Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 from 11:00 A.M. until service time at 12:30 P.M.
Pallbearers are Steven Atley Ginn, Paul Ginn, Roy Ginn, Gary Lee, William Rushing, and Charles Webster Boyd. Honorary pallbearer will be Will Robinson.
