Annie Lilly Rushing, 92 passed away Monday, November 3, 2025 at the Billdora Senior Care in Tylertown, MS. She was born Monday, September 4, 1933 in Liberty, Mississippi to the late Jeffie Lee and Gussie Mae Lilly. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Rushing; daughter, Sharon Rushing Rollins; brother, Thomas Paul Lilly; sisters, Lessie Burgess, Ruby Mae Hodges, Jessie Lee Cooper; great grandchild, Lanie Michelle Phelps; and great-great grandchild Weston Lane Woodar.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025 from 4:30 PM at Dexter Pentecostal Church in 717 Hwy 48 East, Tylertown, MS until service time at1:00 PM on Friday, Novemer 7, 2025. Burial will follow in Rushing Cemetery in Tylertown, Mississippi. Rev. Jerry Terrell, Rev. Jason Rockco, and Rev. Eric Pounds will officiate. Capps Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
In her younger years she enjoyed playing the guitar and singing in church, the Lilly sisters would often sing as a trio at church. She enjoyed going to the Smoky Mountains, spending time with family and serving Sunday dinner for the family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she didn't just talk about a godly life, she lived it daily.
Survivors include her son, Raymond Eugene Rushing (Beulah); daughters, Deborah Ann Beard (Mike) and Linda Joyce McNeese (Wade); sister, Elaine Cooper; 15 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great grandchildren; son-in-law, David Rollins; sister-in-law, Minnie Pearl Lilly; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.
Pallbearers will be Jason Steele, Payton Phelps, Brandon Graham, Heath Graham, Cody Dillon, and Arkin Terrell. Honorary pallbearer Kevin Terrell.
Special music will be performed by Arkin Terrell and Larry Terrell.
