Funeral services for Anthony "Blane" Odom will be held Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at 11:00 at Capps Funeral Home in Tylertown, with Elders P.J. Walters and Ricky Myers officiating.

Mr. Odom, 60, passed away peacefully at his home May 6, 2018. He was born August 19, 1957, in Tylertown to Luther Rudolph Odom, Sr. and Joyce Rushing Odom and was a lifelong resident of Tylertown.

His mother survives him as well as a sister Pell Wheless (Ron) of Tylertown and a brother Luther Rudolph "Rudy" Odom, Jr. (Cecelia) of Mandeville, Louisiana.

He is also survived by a niece Ashley Rabalais (Blaine) and four nephews: Luke Wheless, Ronnie Wheless (Susan), Greg Wheless (Cassie), and Luther Rudolph "Rudy" Odom III.

He was also dearly loved by great-nieces Phoenix and Ava Wheless and Ainsley Rabalais and great-nephews Tyce Rabalais, Luther Rudolph "RuRu" Odom IV and Greg "Junior" Wheless, Jr.

A graduate of Walthall Academy, he was a faithful member of New Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, Highway 98, Tylertown. He was a certified gunsmith who was trained at the Colorado Gunsmithing School. Before becoming disabled, he worked as a gunsmith. Prior to his career as a gunsmith, he worked at Billy's Auto Parts, Rushing Motor Company, and as an offshore oil worker.

Visitation will be at Capps Funeral Home on May 7, 2018, from 5:00-8:00 and will continue Tuesday at 10:00 until funeral services there at 11:00.

Pallbearers will be Luke Wheless, Ronnie Wheless, Greg Wheless, Rudy Odom III, Blaine Rabalis, Scott Morrow, James Stinson, and Stacey Crawford.
