Arey Dean Rushing, 86 of Tylertown, MS passed away Monday, December 16, 2024 at her residence. She was born Thursday, August 11, 1938 in Improve, MS.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2024 from 1:00 PM until funeral service at 2:00 PM at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home, 412 Beulah Ave., Tylertown, MS. Burial will follow at the Union Church Cemetery in Tylertown, MS. Rev. Millard Moak will officiate. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Rushing was a member of Union Baptist Church. She was an expert seamstress and loved feeding anyone that came to her home. Mrs. Dean will be missed dearly by her family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Walter "Son" Edgar Sorrell; and mother, Loretta Thomas Sorrell; and 12 siblings.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years Alexander Benjamin Rushing, Jr.; sons, Bradley Rushing (Kara) and Trent Rushing (Lacey); grandchildren, Dylan Rushing, Tyler Rushing (Siara), Caden Rushing (Kensley), Tyson Rushing (Jenny), Logan Rushing, and Alivia Rushing; great grandchildren, AJ Rushing and Chesley Rushing; sister, Jean Ball; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Rushing, Tyson Rushing, Dylan Rushing, Caden Rushing, Logan Rushing, and Devin Davis.
