Funeral services for Mrs. Betty L. Smith, 87, of Denham Springs, LA will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 21, 2018 at New Bethlehem Baptist Church in Denham Springs, LA with

Bro. R. E. Clark and Bro. Bubba Courtney officiating.  Burial will be in the Rushing Cemetery in Tylertown, MS.

Mrs. Smith passed away at her residence in Denham Springs, LA on Tuesday, December 18, 2018. She was born July 15, 1931 in Tylertown, MS to the late Earlie and Ellen Kennedy Morris.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Earnie Smith Sr.; daughters Doris Kay Clark and Susie Smith; and sister Evelyn Stinson.

Betty was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Denham Springs, LA. She was a loving soul and the BEST mother and grandmother. The sound of her humming sweet hymns while she cooked will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her 9 children Earl (Roxane) Smith Jr., Robert (Cynthia) Smith, David Smith, Bo (Lisa) Smith, Johnny Smith, Judy (Bucky) Jones, Joyce Hebert, Betty (Guy) Ribando, and Alice (Mark) Smith; 19 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and 6 brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers will be Wendell Smith, Eric Smith, Kurt Smith, Michael Hebert, Jayce Babin, and Brock Wittington. Honorary pallbearers will be Shannon St. Romain, Taylor Capello, and Kyle Smith.

Visitation will be at New Bethlehem Baptist Church in Denham Springs, LA on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P. M. and Friday, December 21, 2018 from 9:00 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M.
