Funeral services for Betty Mae Simmons, 83, of Tylertown, MS will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home with Bryan Beech officiating. Burial will be in the Rushing Cemetery.

Mrs. Simmons passed away at her residence in Tylertown, MS on Monday, September 28, 2020. She was born January 23, 1937, in New Orleans, LA to the late Camilla and Rene Arcement, Jr. She was also preceded in death by her sons Wayne Hernandez, Offie Simmons, III and infant son Larry Hernandez; sister Patsy Dennis; and brother Rene Arcement, III.

Mrs. Betty was a member of Mesa Baptist Church. She had a special love for everyone she met. Mrs. Simmons loved her flower garden, dancing, styling hair, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years Offie Simmons, Jr.; children Lorraine Hernandez, Debra Fos, James Hernandez, Jr., Danny Hernandez, Ricky Hernandez, and Jim Simmons; brother Jerry Arcement; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Visitation will be at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home on Saturday, October 3, 2020 from 11:00 AM until service at 1:00 PM.
