B obbie Inita (Murrell) Harvey May was granted her A ngel W ing s to enter H eaven and be with our Heavenly Father on August 25, 2018. She was cared for at home, by Passages Hospice, in New Orleans, LA. She was surrounded by family, caretakers and friends who loved her.

Bobbie was born in Tupelo, Mississippi and moved to Columbia, Mississippi in her early years, then on to Tylertown, Mississippi. She graduated from Columbia High School, in Columbia, Mississippi. She later married the love of her life, Arvin C. May, April 19, 1952. Together they raised three children in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was a homemaker, a wonderful loving mother and a great inspiration for all of us and many others she encountered. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she taught Sunday School for many years, and helped children to become better Christians.

Mrs. Bobbie (Murrell) May is preceded in death by her parents, Rodney and Lillian Harvey; her husband of 59 years, Arvin C. May, and her sister Nevaughn Maggie Harvey Welch.

She is survived by her son; Don May, and daughters Sherron Hammond and fiancé Jeff Mink, Inita Rose May-Hale and fiancé Craig Brodie and 6 grandchildren, Donovan May, Kimberly Milligan, Loren Landry (Ashley), Amie Meers (Jonathan), Jessica Kirkland (Randy), Stephen Hammond Jr. (Avalea). Also survived by her Great-Grandchildren; Tanner, Fallon and Brody Landry, Kylie and Chloe Milligan and Kaden May, Raiden Hammond, Brianna Bailey, Savana DeLaigle, Blake Butler, Kelsie Kirkland, Dalton Kirkland, and Trista Kirkland.  She will be greatly missed by a host of other respective relatives and friends.

Pall Bearers will be Don May, Jeff Mink, Craig Brodie, Stephen Hammond Jr., Donovan May and Randy Kirkland.
