Bobbie Rushing, 79 of Tylertown, Mississippi passed away Friday, May 19, 2023. She was born Monday, March 20, 1944 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late Truely Daufus and Ruthie Mae Farlow. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband Joseph George Rushing;  brother Kermit Earl Farlow; sisters Linda Nell Smith and Anna Lou Passman; and grandchild Michael Alan Chipman Jr..

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2023 from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home in 412 Beulah Ave., Tylertown, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Rushing Cemetery in Tylertown, Mississippi. Bro. Floyd Atchison will officiate. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Bobbie enjoyed gardening, spending time with grand kids, cooking, and family get-togethers.

Survivors include her son Sherman Joseph Rushing (Sandra); daughters Jelena Ann Chipman (Michael) and Shannon Marika Rushing (Jimmy); grandchildren Vincent Matthew Chipman (Allie), Sherman Joseph Rushing, II (Lucy), Ryan Wesley Chipman, Jessica Holly Hicks (Ethan), Cheyenne Nicole Rushing, Ethan Alexander Phelps, Hunter Joseph Phelps, and Nicholas James Phelps; great grandchildren Levi Ryan Chipman, Nathaniel Vince Chipman, Stella Rae Rushing and Slade Joseph Rushing; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers will be Vincent Chipman, Joseph Rushing, Ethan Phelps, Michael Smith, Jeff Terrell, and Scott Long.

Honorary pallbearers will be Nicholas Phelps, Hunter Phelps, and Levi Chipman.
