Brenda Carol Boyd Anthony, 79 of Jayess, MS passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at her residence. She was born Saturday, December 29, 1945 in Walthall County, MS. to the late Wood Boyd and Merle Pittman Boyd. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by the father of her children James Dale Anthony; brother, Ronald Boyd; sister, Mary Rayborn; and brother-in-law, Marlin Rayborn.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 11:00 AM until funeral service at 12 noon at Capps Funeral Home, 270 Old Hwy 98 E, Tylertown, MS 39667, with Brother Glenn Nace officiating. Burial will follow in the Boyd Cemetery in Salem, MS. Capps Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Brenda was born and raised in Walthall Mississippi. She graduated from Salem where she was a member of the woman's basketball team. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved the sunshine. Brenda was a devoted mother who always made time to attend her son's ball games where she would keep the score books and much more. Brenda was well known for her upholstery work which she did for many years in Maryland. She loved animals and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her sons, Bryan Gabriel Anthony and Jim Woodrow Anthony; grandchildren, Bailie Anthony and Chasity Anglin (Lee); great grandchildren, Brentlee Anglin and Levi Anglin; brother, Buddy Rex Boyd (MaryAnn); sister-in-law, Ann Boyd; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers will be Mike Anthony, Mark Anthony, Lee Anglin, Kelvin Rayborn, Darren Boyd, and Jason Boyd.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mitch Anthony and Robbie McCullough .
