Funeral services for Captain Wayne G. Arnold, 66, of Tylertown, Mississippi will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home with Reverend Winston Fortenberry officiating. Burial will be in the Powells Grove Cemetery in Jayess, MS.

Captain Arnold passed away at University Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi on Sunday, July 4, 2021. He was born December 31, 1954 in Leesville, Louisiana to the late Nelwyn and James Arnold.

Mr. Wayne was a very patriotic Coast Guard Veteran whom believed in faith, family, and freedom. For the last 12 years he has been the captain of a crew boat for the oil field and has loved every minute of it. But his true passion was spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Connie Arnold; children Jay Arnold, Jordan Arnold, John Shields, Samantha (Alan) Fortenberry, and Haley (Lee) Shepherd; grandchildren Ethan, Riley, Jacoby, Brookelyn, Brogan, Leah, Makai, Braylen, Greyson, Dalan, Case, Madaline, and Madison; siblings Patricia (Ronnie) Boyd, Margaret (Melvin) Gary, Charlotte Lesher, Charmaine Arnold, and Gary Arnold, nieces Nelwyn (Phillip)Alexander, Stephanie (Kevin) Ritchey, and Lynette (Amos) Whittington; along with a host of friends and loving family.

Pallbearers are Jay Arnold, Jordan Arnold, John Shields, Alan Fortenberry, Lee Shepherd, and Jason Mullins.

Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Boyd, Thomas Barbier, Amos Whittington, and Kevin Ritchey.

Visitation will be at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home on Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 11:00 AM until service at 2:00 PM.
