Carey L Boyd, 81, of Tylertown, MS passed away Friday, March 8, 2024. He was born Friday, December 18, 1942 to the late Arville and Margurite Mae Boyd. Along with his parents he is also preceded in death by his daughter Janet Pearl Boyd; and grandparents Sibley (Bessie) Alford and Parm (Nora) Boyd .

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM at Capps Funeral Home at 270 Old Hwy 98 E, Tylertown, MS and on Monday, March 11, 2024 from 12 noon until service time at 2:00 PM with Bro. David Hedden officiating. Burial will follow in Enon Cemetery in Jayess, Mississippi. Capps Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Carey was a proud veteran of the Air Force and Army. He enjoyed reading his Bible, being on his computer, drinking coffee, watching people, and visiting with friends.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years Pearl Duncan Boyd; sister Sybil Rainey;  along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends and loving family.

Pallbearers will be Terry Boyd, Jerry Boyd, David Boyd, Pat McKellar, Ronnie Campbell, and Terry Causey. Honorary pallbearers will be Taylor Magee, Derek Burchfield, Anthony McCarthy, Jeff Sills, Cec Rainey, Todd Duncan, Tony Duncan, Kenny Burchfield, and Cecil Rainey.
