Carolyn Faye Garrett, 83, of Sandy hook, MS passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2026 surrounded by loving family. She was born on May 23, 1943 in Tylertown, MS to the late Fay and Mary Lucille Stogner. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband Boe Garrett.

Left to cherish her memory are her sisters Patsy Pittman (Ernest) and Lana Rushing (Charlie); along with a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, friends, and loving family.

Mrs. Carolyn was a member of New Zion Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in her yard and in her flower beds, watching Christmas lights, making ceramics, taking care of her babies (poodles). She also loved watching basketball, her favorite team being the North Carolina Tar Heels.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026 at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home, 412 Beulah Ave. Tylertown, MS 39667, from 11:00 AM until service time at 2:00 PM with Bro. Mack McElveen officiating. Interment will follow at New Zion Cemetery. Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to St. Jude Hospital.
