Mrs. Cathey Powell was born in Arkansas on April 10,1970. On December 6, 2024 Mrs. Cathey went home to be with the lord, and have her peace. Mrs. Cathey was a long-time resident of Columbia, MS for 23 years at the time of her passing. Where she would often spend most of her quality time with her youngest two girls and her Kensley. Cathey was very much a homemaker and did the very best at her job. When Cathey had free time, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends and having movie mornings with her youngest two girls, grandbaby Lele, and fiancé Johnnie of 23 years with her cup of coffee or venom energy drinks. Cathey was the type of woman that would give her last dollar to someone in need and give them a place to stay when they have nowhere else. She is still loved by many and they all call her Momma or Momma Cathey.

Cathey was truly an amazing person at heart who will be missed by many.

Cathey is preceded in death with her baby girls Meghan and Kennedy; Nana Pat; Maw Maw; Paw Paw; Miss Mable; and her father Sammie.

Cathey is survived by her Fiancé Johnnie of 23 years, sons Chris, Josh, and James. Her daughter in Law Kate, her Mini me Aubrey, Her big man Jacob, Her pumpkinnelly, her daughters Kala, Sam, and Haley, Her son in Law Stormy, sister Brenda, her brother Sammie, and many more.

Momma has one thing left to say I do believe.
