Charles Richard Fortinberry, age 85, passed away on September 30, 2018 at Wesley Merit Medical Center. Charles was born in Walthall County. MS to Ellis Fortinberry and Ruby Fortinberry on September 23, 1933.
He is survived by sons Keith (Shannon) Fortinberry, Kevin (Scharlotte) Fortinberry,and Kalem Fortinberry; daughter Keely Dillon; grandsons Damon Fortinberry, Taylor Fortinberry, and Jason Dillon; granddaughters Leslie Brewer, Virginia James, Jennah Dillon, and Lori Cooley; his companion Gloria Fortinberry; brother Venn(Patsy) Fortinberry; ; sister Joan (Harry) Fortenberry; step-daughter Sandy Duncan; step-sons McNeil Mitchell and Greg Mitchell. Along with nine great-grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by Ellis Fortinberry (Father), Ruby Fortinberry (Mother), his wife and mother of his four children Virginia Fortinberry , and his son-in-law Duane Dillon.
Mr. Fortinberry enjoyed being outdoors, working the garden, and working on cars, he was a master of all trades. Mr. Fortinberry was also a Mason in theTylertown lodge.
Pallbearers will be Damon Fortinberry, Brice Fortinberry, Brancin Fortinberry, Blake Brewer, Jason Dillon, and Taylor Fortinberry. Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Fortenberry and Hank Fortenberry.
Visitation for Mr. Fortinberry will be held Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hartman-Hughes Chapel with services starting at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Crystal Springs Cemetery in the Dexter community.
