It is with great sorrow that our dearest loving Mother Clara Mae Hartzog, 85, of Baton Rouge, LA passed away.  It is with great joy that on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, Clara left this earth to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Clara was born Monday, May 22, 1939, in Improve of Walthall County, MS to

the late John Alfred Hartzog and Stella (Cotton) Hartzog.  Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her brothers, Felder Hartzog, Lucious Hartzog, Charlie Ben Hartzog, Melvin Hartzog, and her sisters, Letha Gray and Daisy Thomas.

Clara enjoyed attending Carson Springs Baptist Church in Mississippi and Living Hope Fellowship in Sherwood in Baton Rouge. She was an amazing seamstress, cross stitch and embroidery. Clara had a passion for cooking, baking and making holiday candies, most especially her divinity, cherry chocolate balls and peanut brittle were second to none. She also enjoyed spending time in her garden and going to the beach but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
