Clifton Louis
Gill
October 24, 1959 – July 5, 2024
Clifton Louis Gill, 64 of Tylertown, MS passed away Friday, July 5, 2024 at his residence. He was born Saturday, October 24, 1959 in Baton Rouge, LA.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024 from 1:00 PM until funeral service at 3:00 PM at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home, 412 Beulah Ave., Tylertown, MS. Burial will follow in the Holmes Family Cemetery. Pastor Jerron Carney will officiate. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Cliff enjoyed many things: hunting, fishing, trapping, but most of all he loved spending time in his field with his cows with his dogs tagging along. He would pull down in the field, park, and let his dogs out while he watched the cows. It was his little piece of Heaven on Earth.
He worked as a teamster for many years driving trucks, working pipelines, and some movies. He enjoyed this job with some of his closest friends. His daughters, Jennifer and Jessica, were his pride and joy. Oh the stories they can tell. Along with his grandkids that he took on many adventures through the woods and around the fields. He loved his sister, Pam and brother, Raymond. He also loved giving them a hard time as he did most of his family with his mischievous ways. He always gave us a good laugh.
He loved the Lord and he was baptized by the late Bishop Carney and Pastor Jerron Carney in Jesus name at Woodlawn Church. He also, when able, attended Brockdale Church and thought so much of Brother Disotell. Sister Bonnie Kirkpatrick would take him to Woodlawn, Brockdale, and on occasion State Line Church.
He will be missed by so many loved ones, friends, and family.
Mr. Clifton was preceded in death by father, Thomas Louis Gill and mother, Ilda Kathleen Gill.
Survivors include his daughters, Jennifer Gill McCallum (Chris) and Jessica Annette Gill; grandchildren, Ashlynn Temple (Jonathan), Taylor Gautreau, Gage Willoughby, Easton McCallum, and Mason McCallum; brother Raymond Gill; sister, Pamela Dillon; mother of his daughters, Margie Gill Loup; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.
