Obituary

Funeral services for David Earl Dillon, 67, of Jayess, MS will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Hartman-Hughes Chapel with Reverend Dan Pardue officiating. Burial will be in the Boyd Cemetery.

David Earl Dillon was born October 26, 1953 to James Louis Dillon, Sr. and Ora Fortenberry Dillon. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Roy Dillon; late wife Sabrina Dillon; and nephew Kurt Dillon.

David joined the Navy after high school and later worked as a paramedic and safetyman. His work and love of adventure took him around the world and back until he was disabled in a motorcycle accident. He was an avid football and Nasar fan, but there was nothing he enjoyed more than spending time with his grandbabies. He had a lifelong love of motorcycles and was a lifetime member of ABATE.

Survivors include his wife Jo Ann Dillon; son Jaryth Lee; daughters Lacie Rushing and Lanie Tripp; grandchildren Autumn Rushing, Caleb "Bubba" Rushing, Landyn Tripp, and baby to be MiCayla Rushing; brothers James Dillon, Jr. and wife Martha and Keith Dillon and wife Pasty; and nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers were Tre' Fairburn, John Lowhorn, Micah Dillon Jason Smith, Keyon Smith, and Gary Upton.

Honorary pallbearers were Cotton Fortenberry, James Lee Burch, and Mike Knippers.
