Dennis Byron Johnson, 59 of Jayess, MS passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024 peacefully at his residence. He was born Tuesday, July 21, 1964 in Baton Rouge, LA.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 10:00 AM until funeral service at 12 noon at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home, 412 Beulah Ave., Tylertown, MS. Burial will follow in the Silver Springs Cemetery with Reverend Mike Furgerson officiating. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Dennis was devoted long-time employee of Walthall County Co-op. He had a heart as big as his tall stature and loved his family dearly.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Michele Worley Johnson; father, Byron Edward Johnson, Sr.

Survivors include his mother, Joyce Louise Quave Griffin; brother, Byron Edward Johnson, Jr. (Emma); sisters, Cela Joyce Reynolds (Leigh), Denise Larie Hembree, Karan Verna Bahm, and Patti Jo Goudeau; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers will be Andrew LeBlanc, Jayden LeBlanc, Jacob Reynolds, Brandon Johnson, Kane Johnson; and Donnie Rester.

Honorary pallbearer will be Jeremy Bahm.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Lanier Baptist Church, 4851 Lanier Dr., Baton Rouge, LA 70812, in memories of Mr. Dennis Johnson.
