Diane Holmes Gardner, 91 of Tylertown, MS passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025. She was born Thursday, December 14, 1933 in Walthall County, MS to the late Robert Sidney Wendell Holmes and Iola Smith Holmes. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband William Sam Gardner, Sr.; brothers, Jerry Holmes and Sandy Holmes; sister, Ginger Hollingshead; and sister-in-law, Louann Holmes.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM at Capps Funeral Home, 270 Old Hwy 98 E, Tylertown, MS, with a graveside service to follow at 11:45 AM at the Tylertown Cemetery with Reverend Justin Knight and Pastor Ronnie Magee officiating. Capps Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flower the family request that you make donations to the charity of our choice.

Survivors include her sons, Christopher Gardner and William Sam Gardner, Jr (Wanda); daughter, Janet Kirby (Patrick); grandchildren, Kale Gardner, Slade Gardner, Jace Gardner, and Patrick Sam Kirby; great grandchildren, Kayson Gardner, Kallen Gardner, and Addison Gardner: along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers will be David Yougblood, William Sam Gardner Jr., Jeremy Holmes, Chase Holmes, and Jeffery Hollingshead.
