Donald Wayne
Dillon
February 17, 1936 – November 9, 2018
Funeral services for Mr. Donald Wayne Dillon, 82, of Tylertown, MS will be held at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 12 noon with Bro. Shane Freeman officiating. Mr. Dillon passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, MS.
He was born February 17, 1936 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late Edna Brumfield Rocko. He is also preceded in death by his granddaughter Madison Martin.
He served his country honorably as a noncommissioned officer in the United States Army. Upon retiring from the military, he moved back to Tylertown and established a television repair and service and was a member of Mesa Baptist Church where he became a respected member of the Tylertown community. Ultimately his life focus was his family and making sure that they were taken care of and many times he would have to drive across the country in order to do so. All he had to hear is that one of his kids needed help and he was there no matter how far.
Left to celebrate his life is his two daughters Sandy Irby and Peggy Arnold and his Stepson Sean Dillon. Sandy and her husband Mark reside in McComb, MS. Peggy and her husband Jeff live in Dallas, TX and Sean Dillon calls New Jersey his home. He has four grandchildren, Kirt Willoughby, Erin Willoughby Peak, Madison Martin and Haley Arnold. Kirt is married to Tiffany and they reside in Kokomo, MS. Erin and her husband John reside in Ponchatoula, LA. Haley Arnold resides with her parents in Dallas TX.
He has three great-grandchildren; Richard Kale Willoughby, Laura Leigh Peak, and Emily Elise Peak.
Pallbearers are Kirt Willoughby, Mark Irby, John Peak, Brandon Irby, Sean Dillon, and Marcus Givens.
Visitation will be at Hartman-Hughes Chapel on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers the family would like you to make a donation to your favorite veteran charity.
