Donnis F Branch, 75 of Columbia, Mississippi passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022 in McComb, Mississippi. She was born Thursday, May 02, 1946 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the Elton Earl and Elowese T. Wood. Mrs. Branch is preceded in death by her father Elton Earl Wood; husband J.D. Branch; brothers Bobby M Wood and Billie Joe Wood.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home in 412 Beulah Ave., Tylertown, Mississippi and then on Monday, March 14, 2022 from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Wood Cemetery in Tylertown, Mississippi with Rev. Lerand Hunt officiating. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Donnis was a 2nd grade teacher for 33 years at West Marion Primary School. She was a very loving, thoughtful, caring, and compassionate woman. She was thoughtful toward all those she knew and loved. Mrs. Donnis expressed her love through writing poetry and would share her gift with loved ones or friends as she would write a poem for the family as words of encouragement whenever someone would pass and would also write a poem to her husband every year. Mrs. Donnis loved her son unconditionally and enjoyed going on family trips with her favorite trip being when they would go to Florida. Many memories have been made and she will be missed by many people.

Survivors include her son Jason Branch; mother Elowese Thomas Wood; brothers Rodney E Wood, Dwayne Wood (Gina) and Samuel "Sammy" Wood; sisters Janice M Gerald and Delores Dillon; along with a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, friends and loving family.
