Dora Maggie Brumfield, 101 of Tylertown, MS passed away Sunday, January 4, 2026 at Billdora Senior Care in Tylertown, MS. She was born Sunday, September 14, 1924 in Tylertown, MS to the late Robert Ryals and Pauline Fowler Ryals. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband Jesse Brumfield; sons, Robert Brumfield and Henry Brumfield, Sr; brother, Elmore Ryals;  and sister, Mary Crawford.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026 at Capps Funeral Home, 270 Old Hwy 98 E, Tylertown, MS, from 9:00 AM until funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Rushing Cemetery. Dr. Shane Freeman will officiate. Capps Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Brumfield was a member of Mesa Baptist Church and loved her church family. Some of her favorite pastimes were cooking, gardening, quilting, and being with her grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory is sister, Lavelle Wallace; grandsons, Henry Brumfield, Jr., Patrick Brumfield, Steve Brumfield (Roxanne) , and Mark Brumfield (Shannon). Along with a host of great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Brumfield, Mitchell Brumfield, Patrick Brumfield, Steve Brumfield, Robert Brumfield, Braxton Brumfield, and Brian Ryals.
