Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Moret, 97, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Silver Springs Baptist Church with Revs. Mike O'Neal and Joe Baugh officiating. Burial will be in the Silver Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Moret passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb, Mississippi. She was born January 16, 1921 in Chandler, Minnesota to the late Henry John and Lucy Meyer Bruxvoort.



In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband John William Moret; and daughter Glenda Rae Mounts.

She was a member of Silver Springs Baptist Church and a homemaker. In their earlier years, Mr. and Mrs. Moret had also owned and operated an Auto Parts business in Maringouin, Louisiana. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and crocheting.

Survivors include her sons Glenn (Beth) Moret and Roger (Winnie) Moret; sisters Nellie Dierenfeld, Pauline Blom, Frances Veltkamp; sister-in-law Henrietta Bruxvoort; grandchildren Karen Harrison, Janet King, Shari Crowley, Lori Gonzalez, John Moret, and Anne Richard; thirteen great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Silver Springs Baptist Church on Saturday, February 17, 2018, from 9:30 A.M. until service time there at 11:00 A.M.
