Edwin Harold Jackson, Jr., 77 of Jayess, MS passed away Saturday, May 13, 202 3 . He was born Thursday, March 7, 1946 in Tylertown, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 1:00 PM until funeral service at 2:00 PM at Capps Funeral Home in 270 Old Hwy 98 E, Tylertown, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Sartinville Cemetery in Jayess, Mississippi. Bro. Jimmy Smith will officiate. Capps Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Jackson had an outstanding work ethic and true passion for driving eighteen wheelers. H is love for both were shown through the business he sol ely owned and operated, Sonny Farm s . The name of the business was based on his childhood nicknam e. O utside of his business he enjoyed working in his yard and spe nding time with his bulldog.

He was preceded in death by his son Edwin Harold "Eddie" Jackson, III; father Edwin Harold Jackson, Sr.; and mother Bobbie Lou Harvey Jackson.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Easterling Jackson of Jayess, MS; daughter Amanda Jackson of Brandon, MS; sisters Joan Jackson of Tylertown, MS and Velda Carpenter of Atascocita, TX; along with a host of friends and loving family.

Pallbearers will be J im Evans , Ken Ainsworth, Jim Blakely , Bob Hawkins , Stanley Brumfield , and Jimmy Boyd.

Honorary pallbearers will be Randy May , Tim Thames , and Dale Evans .
