Funeral services for Glynn McKenzie, 87, of McComb, MS will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Capps Chapel with David Bryant officiating. Burial in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Mr. McKenzie passed away at V.A. Nursing Home on Sunday, October 13, 2019. He was born June 10, 1932 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late Letha and Fred McKenzie. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Louise McKenzie; four brothers O'Neal McKenzie, Harold McKenzie, Herbert McKenzie, and Austin McKenzie; and two sisters Ella Mae Gray and Imagene Rayborn.
He was a member of the U.S. Navy during the Korean war and worked for Croft Metals for 38 years. Mr. McKenzie was also a member of New Heights Baptist Church in McComb, Ms. He enjoyed fishing, camping, barbecuing, hunting, and just spending time outdoors.
Survivors include three daughters Brenda(Jerry) Alford, Sue (David) Bryant, and Cindy (Tim) Luby; son Tommy (Rachel) McKenzie, eleven grandchildren Jarrod (Shannon) Alford, Jake Alford, Jennifer (Larry) McKay, Josh (Jessi) Luby, Kris (Luke) Vincent, Elliot (Mallory) McKenzie, John Bryant, Truett McKenzie, Jack McKenzie, Andrew Bryant, and Kate McKenzie; one great grandchild McKenzie McKay. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.
Pallbearers are Jarrod Alford, Jake Alford, Josh Luby, Elliot McKenzie, Truett McKenzie, Jack McKenzie, and Andrew Bryant.
Visitation will be at Capps Chapel on Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
