Elsie Payne Sutton, born October 15, 1934, passed away at her home on November 6th, 2024. She was the daughter of Nelson and Lelia Payne, both deceased. After graduating from Tylertown High School, she went to work for Shell Oil Company. Later on, she got married to Mr. George and the lived in various cities in Louisiana. After retirement she and her husband moved back to Tylertown. She enjoyed gardening and traveling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Lee, sister Peggy Bealer, and brothers Donald Payne, Jim Payne, Louis Payne, Ralph Payne, and Wayne Payne. She is survived by her husband of 67 years George Sutton, son Jeffrey Sutton, and brothers Jesse Payne, Percy Payne, and Larry Payne; sisters Sue Guillory, Diane Patton, and Barbara Deinero.

A private ceremony was held at Tylertown Cemetery.
