Elwin Allen Dillon, 72 of Tylertown, MS passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at his residence. He was born Tuesday, April 17, 1951 in Tylertown, MS.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 12 noon until funeral service at 1:00 PM at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home at 412 Beulah Ave., Tylertown, MS. Burial will follow in Tylertown Cemetery II. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Dillon was a proud veteran that served in the Vietnam War where he received the Purple Heart medal.   He worked many years in his hometown with the county highway department and B and S Tire. Mr. Elwin loved gardening and spending time with his K-9 companion.

He was preceded in death by his father John T. Dillon; mother Georgia Terrell Dillon; sister Melba Johnson; and brother-in-law Major Johnson.

Survivors include his brother Jerome Dillon (Jean); sister Gayle Strickland (Gary): along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends and loving family.
