Emogene Taylor Breland

Funeral services for Emogene Breland, 76, of Tylertown,Mississippi will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Carson springs Baptist Church  with  Bro. Carl Dickens and Bro. Archie Herrin officiating. Interment will be held at Carson Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Breland passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021. She was born August 26, 1945 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late Irvin and Georgie Taylor. Alongside her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Breland; son Shawn Breland; brother Sharp Taylor; sisters Pearlene Singletary and Wilmouth Taylor; sister-in-law Barbara Taylor; father-in-law Acie Breland; and mother-in-law Ruby Breland.

Mrs. Emogene was a longtime member of Carson Springs Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher for 25+ years, helped out with the VBS program and just enjoyed fellowshipping with her church family and friends. Outside of her church life she enjoyed taking care of and spending time with her family, a selfless hard working lady who also enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. Many a life was touched by her and she will be missed my many.

Survivors include her sons Marty Breland and Daniel Breland; grandchildren Meghan Breland-Griffin, Brock Breland, Constance Breland, Nicolas Breland, Serenity Breland, Christopher Breland, Michael Breland, and Jay Breland; great- grandchildren Dalton Whitehead, Taylor Breland, Scarlet Griffin, and Caroline Griffin; brother Wayne (Dianne) Taylor; sisters Jessie Merle Taylor and Vivian (Kendall) McKenzie; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers are Jammie Singletary, Lamar Singletary, Bernard Singletary, Branson Singletary, Christopher Singletary, and Ronnie Taylor.

Honorary pallbearers are Jeremy McKenzie and Brock Breland.

Visitation will be at Carson springs Baptist Church on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 12:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM.
