Graveside services for Ernest Everett Pope, 71, of Tylertown, MS will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 29, 2020 at Oral Cemetery with Reverend David Watson officiating.

Mr. Pope passed away at Sonny Montgomery V. A. Center in Jackson, MS on Saturday, June 20, 2020. He was born December 28, 1948 in Bogalusa, Louisiana to Frankie and Reverend J. W. Pope. He was preceded in death by his father Reverend J. W. Pope and son Chris Pope.

Ernie attended Union Baptist Church and served in the United States Air Force and also served in the Company A 1/155 ^th Infantry of the National Guard in Tylertown . He worked many years as a security guard until his retirement. Bible study was one of his favorite pastimes.

Survivors include mother Frankie Pope; daughter Shenna (Jairo) Machado; son Kenny Pope; 3 grandchildren Selena, Haydee, and Noah; sisters Linda (Edward) Hughes, Laura Lee, Susan (Bill) Garman; brothers Joseph (Connie) Pope and Richard David Pope; and a host of nieces, nephews, and loving family.

Pallbearers are Patrick Harvey, William Garman, Kenneth Seal, Jairo Machado, Grave Bentley, and Skye Stampper.
