Ree Dykes, 96 of Tylertown, MS passed away Tuesday, May 03, 2022 at the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb, MS. She was born Thursday, April 15, 1926 in Darbun, Mississippi.

Graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Tylertown, Mississippi on May 5, 2022 at 10:00 AM with Bro. Justin Knight officiating. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Ree was a longtime member of Tylertown Baptist Church. She was a fabulous cook who enjoyed making egg custard pies and baking treats for her community. Mrs.Ree enjoyed traveling, reading books, having coffee with her bunch at May's Restaurant, and babysitting her grandpups Wesley and Langley.

She was preceded in death by her husbands Jake Holmes and Harmon Dykes;  son Michael Holmes;  daughter Janet Crawford;  father Byron Thompson;  mother Effie  Ester Forbes Thompson.

Survivors include her daughter Sandra Holmes Sartin (James); grandchildren Pamela Sartin (Katherine) and Trudi Evans (Mike); great grandchildren Luke Evans and Michael Evans; son-in-law Jamie Crawford;  and special friend Lee Ellen McDonald (John).

Pallbearers will be John McDonald, Michael Evans, Luke Evans, Mike Evans, Jamie Crawford, Tommy Priest, and Tommy Priest.
