Foote Rivers Singleton

July 10, 1942 – January 22, 2023

Foote Rivers Singleton, 80 of Tylertown, MS passed away Sunday, January 22, 2023 at the his residence in Tylertown, Mississippi. He was born Friday, July 10, 1942 in Louisiana.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 682 Union Road, Tylertown, MS 39667. Father  Alwin Sami and Father Tommy Conway will officiate. Interment will follow at Singleton-Nelson Family Cemetery. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Singleton was a member of the Air Force and the Knights of Columbus. He was a big LSU fan and enjoyed watching sports of all kinds, solving puzzles, and working with his honey bees and his cattle.

He was preceded in death by his father David Singleton; mother Alma Woods Singleton.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years Margaret  Kripal Singleton;  sons David Singleton  and Joe Singleton;  daughters Cheryl Nelson (Robert) and Lynn Mirandy (Jim);  grandchildren Jonathan Mirandy, Jessica Mirandy, Jaime Mirandy, Katie Scully (Kray) and Kyle Singleton (Tori);  great grandchild Claire Scully; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.
