Margaret Brumfield, 92 of Denham Springs, LA passed away Saturday, January 10, 2026 at The Crossing in Baton Rouge, LA. She was born Saturday, January 21, 1933 in Castor, LA to the late Rupert "Pete" Russell and Beatrice "Bea" Martin Russell. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Aubrey Lamar Brumfield; son, Sidney Brumfield; brother, Stanley Wayne Russell; and sister, Majorine Kirk.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026 from 1:00 PM until funeral service at 2:00 PM at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home, 412 Beulah Ave., Tylertown, MS. Burial will follow in Tylertown Cemetery II. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
For 30 plus years Mrs. Margaret was the secretary for Tylertown Baptist Church. She truly loved her job where she was able to be a positive inspiration for numerous children and youth. Mrs. Margaret enjoyed reading and studying her bible, cooking for her family, gardening, and sewing.

Survivors include her son, David Russell Brumfield (Sue); grandchildren, Melissa Portwood (Connor), Russell Brumfield (Ashlie), and Garrett Brumfield (Maddie); great grandchildren, Adelyn Portwood, Josiah Portwood, Elias Portwood, and Ruth Brumfield; daughter-in-law, Teresa Brumfield; sister, Betty Pigott; along with a host of loving family and friends.
