Fred Neil Reid

September 8, 1928 – May 11, 2022

Fred Neil Reid, 93 of Metairie, LA passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at the Brookdale Senior Living Facility in Alexandria, LA.  He was born Thursday, September 8, 1928 in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Grave side services will be held Thursday May 19, 2022 at Tylertown Cemetery at 1:00 PM.  Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home in Tylertown, MS is in charge of arrangements with Brother Michael Sartin of First Pentecostal Church in Marrero officiating.

Mr. Fred was a long time member of First Pentecostal Church Westbank in Marrero, LA.  He was employed by Haspels in Tylertown for many years before moving to Metairie where he assumed his stepfather's retail garment business.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, motorcycle riding, fishing, and traveling with his wife in their motorhome.

He was preceded in death by three months by his wife, Carma Nell Reid.  They had been married 76 years.  He was also preceded in death by his mother Donis Richard, stepfather Curley Richard and Father Cecil Reid; Grandmother Dora Reid, and grandfather Alonzo Reid and Daughter-in-law Donna Boothe Reid.

Survivors include son, Fred Michael Reid (Daphne); Grandson Christopher Michael Reid; Granddaughter Cynthia Reid Landry (Sean); great grandson Reid Anthony Romero; Niece-in-law Carolyn Spence (Dan Jones)
