Genelda Graves Johnson

A memorial gathering will be held for Mrs. Genelda Graves Johnson on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the residence of Ashley Sosa. The address for the service is 2782 Foliage Drive, Marrero, LA 70072.

She was born November 1, 1936 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late Claudie and Cahline Graves. She passed away August 4, 2019 at the Marrero Health Care Center in Marrero, LA. She is also preceded in death by her husband John Johnson, brother Joel Graves and her two sons John Johnson and Richard Simmons.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her two daughters Ashley (Lexsander) Sosa, Donna (Neil) Lanning; her son Jimmie (Carla) Simmons, grandchildren Alexis Sosa, Brianna Sosa, Ciara Sosa, Ashlyn Sosa, Kellie Simmons, Kyle Simmons and Hannah Simmons. Mrs. Johnson enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
