Genevieve Kennedy passed away peacefully with her son Michael Kennedy by her side on Friday, June 2, 2023.  She was preceded in death by her parents Burke and Catherine Ginn, her husband Emmett Kennedy and son Robert D. Kennedy Sr as well as her siblings Herbert Ginn, Donald Ginn, Wilda Alford and Iska Mazeres.

Genevieve lived most of her life in Tylertown, MS where she worked at Haspel Garment Company, Seago Lumber Company, The Mississippi Department of Employment Security and Warren Gas Co.  She was also a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She was an active member of Lexie Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher.  In her later years she moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas to live with her son, Michael Kennedy.

Genevieve is survived by one son, Michael Kennedy, a grandson, Rob and Shelia Kennedy, a granddaughter, Melissa Kennedy. She had 2 great granddaughters, Eric and Chelsea Hill and Trey and Micah Craft.  She had 3 great- great grandchildren, Caden Palmer, Avery Craft and Mattie Craft. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Helen Mansur of Baton Rouge, La and Mavis Smith of West Palm, FL. She will be greatly missed by all of them.

Visitation for her will be Saturday, June 10, 2023 11:00 at Hartman Hughes Funeral Home in Tylertown, MS. Services will begin at 12:00 pm .
