A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. George H. Kent, 100, will be held at 11 A. M. on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church with Father Martin Gillespie as the celebrant. Burial will be in the Tylertown Cemetery.
Mr. Kent passed away at his nephew's residence in Tylertown, Mississippi on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. He was born December 1, 1917 in Covington, Louisiana to the late Fredrick B. and Mary Cahill Kent. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Hilen Toney Kent; brothers Orrell F. Kent and Fred "Burt" Kent.

He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and had served in the United States Air Force. He was co-owner and co-operator of the Tylertown Laundry and Dry Cleaning for over 50 years. Mr. George enjoyed gardening, flying, and helping others.

Survivors include a host of nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers will be Sidney Toney, Boley Kent, David Kent, Ronnie Toney, James Bruister, and Bob Toney.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Don Rushing, Truly Conerly, and Jerome Armstrong.
Visitation will be at St. Paul's on Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 10 A.M. until service time there at 11 A.M.
