Georgia M. Berg, 87 of Sandy Hook, MS passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024 at her residence. She was born Saturday, May 30, 1936 in Delaware, OH.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 11:00 AM until funeral service at 1:00 at Briarwood Baptist Church in Franklinton, LA. Burial will follow in Briarwood Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Eddie Henson will officiate. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Georgia loved to dance, listen to polka music, laughing with her family and friends, and traveling with her late husband, Willi Berg. She was also an amazing cook that knew all her recipes by heart and made the best "melt in your mouth" homemade bread.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willi Berg; daughters, Connie Barrett and Doris Maple; grandchild, Nathan Maple; father, Orlie Gilmore; mother, Dorothy Snyder Gilmore; brothers, John Gilmore, Robert Gilmore and Richard Gilmore.

Survivors include her daughters, Carrie Mossman (Doug) and Dianna Wascom; grandchildren, Chad Hamilton and Jennifer Hamilton; great grandchild, Athan Hamilton; stepchildren, Glenn Spears, Vicki Spears, Danny Spears, and Eddie Spears; K-9 companion Peppie; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers will be Eric Hayman, Robert Holiday, Tim Dillon, Michael Berry, Elwood Wascom, Paul Herrington, and Randy Martin.
