Harvey E. Simmons, 92 of Tylertown, Mississippi passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023 at the Billdora Senior Care. He was born Wednesday, August 6, 1930 in Walthall County, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 2:00 PM until funeral service at 3:00 PM at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home in 412 Beulah Ave., Tylertown, Mississippi. Burial will follow in the Simmons Family Cemetery. Reverend Danny Smith will officiate. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-876-3712

Mr. H. E. enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years. He found his true passion later in life growing sugar cane and producing syrup at his sugar cane mill.

He was preceded in death by his father Elder Simmons; and mother Marie Stogner Simmons.

Survivors include his cousins Frances Rushing (Lyndell) and Mary Nell Brumfield (Bobby); along with loving friends and family.

Pallbearers will be Robert Hall, Travis Hall, Jonathan Meagher, Justin Boyd, Bobby Pope, and Eddie Lacroix.
