Mrs. Helen Louise Mercier Dier, 92, of Tytlertown, Mississippi, passed away on May 26, 2024, at McComb Nursing and Rehabilitation Hospital. She was born on January 8, 1932, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to the late Ruby Rice and Charles Clifton Mercier.
Helen was a unique and loving individual who touched the lives of all who knew her. She loved working in her garden, cooking, sewing, and volunteering at her church, Centerville Baptist Church in Centerville, Mississippi.
Helen is survived by her beloved husband, Paul "Pos" Dier, and children: James "Jim" Arnold Wells (Debbie), Harry "Rusty" Arnold Wells, Jr. (Jeanne), and Brenda Jean Wells Harris (Robert). She is also survived by her grandchildren: Kelly Wells Gosselin (Chuck), James "Jimmy" Michael Wells (Michelle), Amanda Wells Campbell (Ryan), Kristina Marie Wells (Derek), Matthew Aaron Wells (Maddie), Mollie Harris Rockford (Raymond); Great-grandchildren: Mason (Hannah), Triston, Emily, Ashley, Emma, Ellyn, Aaron, Harper, Gavin, Grayson; Great-Great Grandchildren: Mila, Ivy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby Rice and Charles Clifton Mercier, and siblings: Joseph Mercier (Gloria), Clifton Mercier (Beth), Margie Mercier Humphries (O.D.), Rita Mercier Jennings (Allen), Wayne Mercier (Beth), Bonnie Mercier Crow (Bobby), Lucylee Mercier; and grandson, Stephen James Wells.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 29th, at Hartman Hughes Funeral Home in Tytlertown, Mississippi. Interment will be at Centerville Cemetery, Lexie. Bro. Mike Anderson will officiate.
Helen will be remembered for her kindness and her love of family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
