Henry Ashford Rhodus

November 11, 1933- June 5, 2025

Henry Ashford Rhodus, 91, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025 at his residence. He was born Saturday, November 11, 1933 in Progress, Mississippi tot the late Charlie and Ethel Rhodus. Along with his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife Genell Rushing Rhodus.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home, 412 Beulah Ave., Tylertown, MS from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Boyd Cemetery in Tylertown, Mississippi. Bro. Mark Wicker will officiate. Capps Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Henry enjoyed spending time with his family, working, keeping his yard up, riding on the 4 wheeler, fishing, and just about anything to do with being outside. When he was younger he enjoyed bowling and hunting. He was a member of Salem Baptist church and was a proud member of the Navy.

Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Mary Ann Cutrer;  sons, Jeffery Rhodus (Glenda), Jerry Rhodus (Belinda) and Wade Rhodus;  daughter, Wanda Rhodus (Harold Perret);  11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; brother, Lloyd Rhodus (Penny);  sisters, Peggy Varnado and Alene Delatte; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Rhodus, Loyd Rhodus, Tommy Rhodus, Chris Waller, Jerry Rhodus Jr., and Royal Rhodus.

Special music will be performed by Bro. Richie Fortenberry.
