James Dale Anthony

November 13, 1945 – October 19, 2021

Funeral services for James Dale Anthony, 75, of Jayess, Mississippi will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Capps Funeral Home with Bro. Lonnie Case officiating. Interment will be at Boyd Cemetery.

Anthony passed away at Billdora Senior Care in Tylertown, Mississippi on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. He was born November 13, 1945 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late James and Lohmer Anthony.

Dale was a Christian and family man who was a member of Magee's Creek Baptist Church. In his younger years he was very much involved in his community coaching both his boys in baseball, a member of the Optimist club and other various things in Southern Maryland where he and his wife resided at the time. Dale also liked to hunt and was an avid golfer of which he played at every opportunity he could get. In his later years he and his wife moved to Houston before coming back to Mississippi where he was the head man in charge of form work for Baker Concrete, the largest concrete company in the US. He took great pride in what he did and it showed, Dale truly loved all of his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his children Jim Woodrow Anthony and Bryan Gabriel Anthony; 2 granddaughters; 2 great- grandchildren; siblings Joan Andrews, Doyle (Brenda) Anthony, and Nell (Jimmy) Yarborough; mother of his children Brenda Carol Boyd Anthony; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers will be Roy Ginn, C. L. Harvey, Mike Anthony, Mark Anthony, Jesse (Tad) Andrews, and Allen Yarborough. Honorary pallbearers will be Mitch Anthony and Jimmy Yarborough.

Visitation will be at Capps Funeral Home on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Friday, October 22, 2021 from 10:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM.
