James John Seman
December 21, 1942 – January 3, 2025

James John Seman, 83, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026 at the Oschner Hospital. He was born Monday, December 21, 1942 in Decauter, Illinois to the late James Guthrie and Rowena Seman. Along with his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Faye Seman and daughter Rebecca Nichelle McGregor.

A friendly gathering will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home, 412 Beulah Ave., Tylertown, MS 39667, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM.

Mr. James was a member of the U.S. Navy and served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. He enjoyed working on cars, going to church, playing poker, shooting guns, hunting, and most of all hanging out with family and friends.

Survivors include his daughter, Lea Ann Stovall; brother, Steve Seman; sister, Agnes Compton; grandchildren, Zachary McGregor, Paige McGregor, Garrick McGregor and Dillon Stovall; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.
