Janie Nan Siebert, 79 of Ethel, LA passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025. She was born Saturday, December 1, 1945 in Tylertown, MS to the late Harold and Gladys Johnson. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her mother of the heart Ozeal Johnson Collins; brothers, Harold Johnson, Jr. and Larry Johnson; and sisters, Clara McKenzie and Peggy King.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home, 412 Beulah Ave., Tylertown, MS, from 10:30 AM until service time 11:30 AM. Burial will follow in Rushing Cemetery in Tylertown, MS with Reverend Justin Knight officiating.  Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Janie was a teacher for 30 plus years in Louisiana and Mississippi. She was married to the love of her life, Melvin, for 44 years. They truly had a deep love for each other that shined in their journey of life. Mrs. Janie enjoyed shopping, spending the day at the salon, and spending time with her grandchildren where she was best known as Nana.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin Siebert; sons, Lance Siebert (Bridgette) and Mark Martin (Abby); daughter, Ramona Jacobs (Robby); 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; son of the heart Kendrick Sartin, along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers will be Cameron Siebert, Brett Siebert, Blake Siebert, Kendrick Sartin, Kolton Jacobs, and Robby Jacobs .
