Graveside services for Jerome Armstrong, 82, of Tylertown, MS will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at New Zion Cemetery.

Mr. Armstrong passed away at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on Tuesday, May 5, 2020. He was born June 20, 1937 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late Scottie and Thomas Armstrong. He was also preceded in death by his brother Richard Earl Armstrong and mother of his children Judith Ann Armstrong.

Mr. Jerome was a member of Tylertown United Methodist Church. He retired from Mississippi Highway Patrol after 35 years as a state trooper and worked 10 years for Walthall County Sheriff's Office.

Survivors include his wife Frances Armstrong; children Steve (Jenny) Armstrong; Penni (Shane) Burch, J. J. Armstrong, Kim Fortenberry, and Tonia (Keith) Carruth; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are J. J. Armstrong, Steve Armstrong, Stephen Armstrong, Roy Armstrong, Tony Armstrong, and Bruce Stogner .
