Jerry Wayne Brumfield, 78 of Tylertown, MS passed away Friday, December 6, 2024 at his residence. He was born Wednesday, September 11, 1946 in Tylertown, MS.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home, 412 Beulah Ave., Tylertown, MS. Visitation will also be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 12 noon until funeral service at 1:00 PM at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Boyd Cemetery in Tylertown, MS. Rev. Millard Moak will officiate. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Brumfield worked proudly in the oilfield business for 32 years as a driller. He enjoyed many pastimes such as deer and coon hunting, fishing on the Mississippi River with his grandchildren, sitting and relaxing on his back porch, watching old westerns and boxing, and riding in his buggy pulled by his favorite horse. He will be missed dearly by his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Carey Brumfield; mother, Essie Mae Lee Brumfield; brothers, Madison Brumfield, Billy Wright Brumfield, and Frank Marion Brumfield; sisters, JoAnn Newcomb and Carey Dean Boyd.

Survivors include his wife, Terry Lynn Golden Brumfield;  daughters, Teresa Gayle Greer, Jan Carol Thompson (Mitch), and Amanda Joy Havard (Chris);  step-sons, Perry Milton Clark, Jr. (Betty) and Chaning Troy Clark (Stacey);  step-daughter, Jessica Ann Fortenberry (Shane);  grandchildren, Kayla Jo Rials (Chris), Kasey Noel Rand (Larry), Alexandra Brooke Aloia (Riley), Robert Cole Thompson, Paxton Blake Havard, Peyton Brady Havard, Paylin Blain Havard, Zachary Hunter Fortenberry, Catlin Marie Fortenberry (Randall), Michael Paton Clark, Mathieu Perry Clark, Tinleigh Ann Clark and Calob Troy Clark;  great grandchildren, Riley William Rials (Blaire), Lizzy Gayle Rials, Braylon Kade Gray, Emma Jean Gray, Drayson Wayne Gray, and Briar Aloia: along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers will be Riley Rials, Kenneth Rand, Jason Mallette, Zachary Fortenberry, Michael Clark, and Randall Smith.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Harvey, Charlie Rushing, Nelson McKenzie, Billy Whitehead, Tommy Pigott, Todd Duncan, Peyton Havard, Paxton Havard, Cole Thompson, Braylon Gray, Mathieu Clark, Calob Clark, and Drayson Gray.
