Jerry Rankin Taylor, Jr., 64 of Kokomo, MS passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. He was born Wednesday, February 12, 1958 in Marion County, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 10:00 AM until funeral service at 11:00 AM at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home in 412 Beulah Ave., Tylertown, Mississippi. Burial will follow in the Kokomo Cemetery in Kokomo, Mississippi. Brother Bill Tony Vasilion will officiate. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Taylor was a lifelong resident of Marion County. He graduated from Pearl River Community College with a degree in technology. His time employed as a reserved police office was something he was truly proud of.  Jerry enjoyed guns, knives, riding his tractor, gardening, and spending time with K-9 companion Buddy.

He was preceded in death by his wife Suzie Krebbs Taylor; and father Jerry R Taylor, Sr.

Survivors include his mother Carrie V Forbes Taylor; sister Karen Rushing (James Elbert); nephew, Heath Alford; cousin Terri Lynn Dykes (Clayton); along with a host of cousins, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers will be William "Wig" Billingsley, Clayton Dykes, Trey Hobgood, Fred Mitchell, Heath Alford, and Kenneth Anthony.
