Funeral services for Jimmy Franklin Bishop, 84, of Tylertown, MS will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Hartman-Hughes Chapel with Brother Buddy Day officiating. Burial will be in the Centerville Cemetery on Dexter Road.
Mr. Bishop passed away at Diversicare of Tylertown on Friday, November 29, 2019. He was born March 2, 1935 in Shivers, Mississippi to the late Susie and Curtis Bishop. He is also preceded in death by sisters Peggy Dyar and Sandra Lybrand; mother and father- in- law Elder Enos and Ruth Branch; nephews Power Lybrand, Nathan McKenzie, and Jordon Magee.
Mr. Jimmy grew up in Prentiss, Ms. He was graduated from Mississippi State as a forester and retired from the U. S. Forest Service. In 2011 he moved to Tylertown. Jimmy was a member of Tylertown Baptist Church and was a member of Corporate Men's Sunday School Class.
Mr. Bishop is survived by his wife of 63 years Elaine Branch Bishop; sisters-in-law Emelda Lott and Ann Thomas; brothers-in-law William Branch and Oscar Branch; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Steve Lott, Brandon Magee, Jake Boyd, Dustin Crawford, Luke McKenzie, Joel Branch, Joshua Broom, Drew Broom, and Justin Magee.
Honorary pallbearers are Tylertown Baptist Corporate Men's Sunday School Class.
Visitation will be at Hartman-Hughes Chapel on Saturday, November 30, 2019 from 2:00 PM until service time at 3:00 PM.
